Our recommended oil is Il Fattore Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Luigi Tega. It  is made with a blend of Umbrian olives that are handpicked and cold-pressed at the family’s oil mill. We like its medium fruitiness and its notes of artichoke and undertones of fresh herbs. Ideal for use in the preparation of sauces, grilled meat, salads and vegetables. Since 1600’s, the Tega family’s roots have been deeply set in the ancient tradition of master oil millers. In his oil mill (Il Molino ‘Il Fattore’), which dates back to the 15th century, Luigi Tega produces rare and precious oils that are obtained by cold pressing a blend of Moraiolo, Leccino and Frantoiano olives.
