The Kernel Brewery, housed in a railway arch in Bermondsey, was founded in 2009 by Evin O’Riordain. Evin started brewing at home after an eye-opening trip to New York made him thirsty for good beer back in Britain. Evin and his colleagues continue to experiment with different mostly American hops and blends, while a lot of their darker beers are based on old London recipes.
