About Us

We’re so much more than a cheese shop….

Since 2010 Florian de Poray has developed Relish as the finest delicatessen in the Channel Islands, and secured its niche as Jersey’s champion of epicurean delight. Our beautiful shop is at 10, Central Market in the historical quartier of Jersey’s capital, St Helier. Florian personally sources the finest ingredients from around Europe, and our cheeses, wines and charcuterie are provided to some of the finest restaurants and private dining tables in the islands. We are happy to deliver any of our goods to our local customers.

The Relish experience is about more than our food, though: Florian’s expert eye for design ensures that the surroundings in which you enjoy our food are as irresistible as the food itself.

Our international and diverse staff are enthusiastic and knowledgable about our wide range of products, and are here to enrich your experience.

We invite you to not only look around our website, but to visit us personally at our delicatessen to discuss any of your culinary requirements.

We look forward  to meeting old and new friends!

What our customers say

‘The service provided by the owner is exceptional and his choice of stock suggests he has travelled extensively. I thought  the days when someone would offer advice, ideas and alternatives had gone, but this shop is a must visit whenever I need a special gift for a wine buff or want to add something extra special to my menu.’

‘So very helpful staff who are  always willing and able to offer advice and give much needed pointers! The cheeses are divine and are so good I plan my dinner parties around them rather than being the last course is it almost gets left to its own devices. Certainly the best deli I have ever been to! Keep up the good work’.

‘I could use all the biggest words in eth Dictionary to describe my deli but there is no need. I love Relish because of its simple honesty – great food, great service and great choice. There’s no need to embellish or cheat as my Deli speaks for itself. Relish! It’s a winner!’

Florian is really knowledgeable about all his products and great for recommending new foods. The deli looks and smells wonderful and draws everyone passing in.’

Relish-Jersey should be the Deli of the Year because it is simply a first-class operation. Its new owner, Florian de Poray, runs the shop with boundless dedication, enthusiasm and passion.  Nothing is too much trouble: Florian and his team provide helpful advice, samples and home deliveries with cheerfulness and charm. The shop has a fantastic range of products – its cheese counter is particularly sublime – which features local seasonal produce and delicacies. Its website is also slick and easy to use. I love Relish and believe it thoroughly deserves to be Deli of the Year!’

‘Fab deli, great selection, wonderful quality, reasonable prices and friendly knowledgeable staff.’

‘Relish offers a beautiful selection of fine foods and wines, in the most enticing setting and the owner is a wonderful person – so truly passionate about his venture and life!’

‘Relish provides excellent quality food and beverages which are not available in eth rest of the island. The staff expertise is second to none on suggestions for innovative dinners and complimentary wines, a smile and warm welcome is readily available whether you are browsing or going for the full shopping experience.’

‘A wonderful deli, situated in one of Jersey’s original markets, filled with delicious produce. Fine wines, olive oils, gorgeous cheeses, pates, olives and so much more to tempt the tastebuds. Friendly and helpful staff make it a pleasure to visit Relish, I never leave the shop without buying something!’

I love visiting Relish. Florian makes the visit to his attractive deli more than just a ‘pop into the shop’.  He encourages people to try (and buy) new ranges and alwys offers a champagne chocolate or pate on artisan bread. Flo ….. makes fine foods fun, and accessible to all.’

‘It’s not just the fabulous stock – Waitrose is good but for something special you need Relish – it’s also that visiting Relish is like dropping in to see an old and very knowledgeable friend: it’s a treat not just a shop.’

‘Florian is encouraging and so interested in what he does – he makes shopping and eating an absolute pleasure…and the paeonies! Love them!’

‘Great choice, Great quality, Competitive prices and Wonderful service. They are No1 THROUGH AND THROUGH.’

The quality and range of goods are exceptional which change with the seasons – as does the decoration of the shop itself. The service is excellent – professional, friendly and well-informed suggesting complimentary products and ideas for both everyday food and entertaining. This really is the best deli in Jersey (with stiff competition) and would give any in the UK (including London) a run for the money – I can get food here that cannot be found elsewhere.’

‘I just have to say a massive THANK YOU to you for creating such an amazing wedding cheese cake for me!!! Beyond my expectations – I really was blown away with how beautifully you decorated and made it! I’m sad to say I didn’t even taste it ???? But many others did and all my quests loved it which is the main thing.  The photo I have of the cake is gorgeous – I have attached for you.

You certainly are a very creative man….and really were so very helpful when I was sending all my enquiries. Thank you so much and cannot recommend you highly enough.’
