Chocolate Colomba from Duca d’Alba

The Duca d’Alba colombe are derived from a traditional Milanese recipe, an Easter equivalent of  our ever popular panettone. It is baked in the shape of a dove (colomba being Italian for dove).

This particular version is enriched with dark chocolate drops, before being covered with a hazelnut glaze, almonds and grains of sugar.
